Math Mammoth photo contest winning entries
Here are the winning entries for the photo contest I ran recently. I asked each participant to provide a photo showing a child/student(s) doing math work from a Math Mammoth book or materials. Click to see a larger version. Enjoy!
1. I felt this picture was just so cute and also the composition is great.
"Isabelle is proudly showing her mom her correctly formed 3's. She wrote them backwards at first. She is working out of her big sister's 1st grade workbook from Math Mammoth's Light Blue Series."
The second place was a tie — I just couldn't decide.
2. A. First, school work upside down - quite creative!
"Here is a pic of my son doing his Light Blue 4 work. I have the download version and printed and bound it in parts because he likes to move around a lot while he works."
2. B. From Amy (no description). I feel this also is a creative shot and shows students with a very happy disposition.
3. "My daughter loves to do her Math Mammoth outside."
The rest of the winners are not in any particular order.
I like this shot a lot. The children are hard at work, and it shows how some exercises in Math Mammoth can be done with manipulatives.
"We are a school based in Lagos, Nigeria."
Interesting angle. Must be enjoyable to work on your math in the shade on a hot day.
"We are excited about the flexibility of Math Mammoth - just print off the pages you need and take it on the go. If you make a lot of mistakes, print it again! It is also nice the way it lends itself to manipulatives. You can easily see how to translate a lesson into a hands-on experience."

"Joseph (8) working on 2B and Faith (6) working on 1B - along with their pal, Maximus (they have renamed the wooly mammoth). This is Joseph's second year and Faith's first using this program. Thank you!"

This is just a lovely picture and a lovely guinea pig. :)

We have been using it as an after-school and summer program for our daughter for about 2 years now. It has made a huge difference in her math abilities and self-confidence. Thank you so much for all you do!!"
A really 'cozy' picture, makes you feel warm and calm inside.
"Homeschoolers may not get snow days, but we get our fair share of Math Mammoth by the fire days!"
She seems so happy. Did you know Math Mammoth books can be filled in on the computer, as well?
"My daughter Paige is doing Math Mammoth on the computer from the downloaded light blue 5th grade material. We are inserting text and equations in the pdf's using OneNote."
